Serena

Name: Serena Tyrrell

Nickname: Rena

Favorite youth group memory as a youth: Week long summer camps in Minnesota and the "bog jog" where we walked through a swamp, (I lost a shoe) into a pond for a mud fight, then dashed to a lake for a little clean up!

Favorite pizza topping: Lots O Cheese.

Favorite youth group memory as a leader:  I have two, both involve crying.  First, praying for a handful of junior high boys that turned into an intercessory prayer time where we were all weeping.  Second, over lunch at a Jr. High summer camp one of the boys told me a blonde joke that I will never forget.  He made me laugh so hard I spit up food and cried.

Last place you went to dinner: Johnny Carino's.

Your heart in ministry: To see kids be passionate about loving Jesus and living that out no matter what the cost.  I am not entirely sure how I fit into this, but I want to be available to the youth and be a part of that process.

Your favorite hobby: Hiking, and going on walks with our son Henry.

Why you are involved in youth ministry: Mostly to support my husband, Isaac.  He is passionate about youth and I want to be partnering up with him in ministry and what he is doing.  This is also such a critical time of life!  If I can help be an example or friend to these kids, I want to.

Your favorite Fruit of the Spirit: Goodness
